The project I am currently working on aims to find out how teenagers in Zetland use artificial intelligence. I have found a pie chart showing the results of a survey on this topic. In this essay, I will analyse the data and provide my opinion on the subject of the project.
According to the pie chart, the most popular response to the question "What do you use AI most often for?" is "Getting information" (34%), followed by "Brainstorming ideas" (28%). The least frequently chosen purpose is "Having a conversation", at only 5%.
Comparing the data, it is clear that the percentage of the respondents who choose "Getting information" as their response is significantly higher than the percentage of those who opt for "Generating pictures" (15%). This is not surprising because AI-powered search engines and chatbots are widely used for quick access to knowledge. Furthermore, "Doing school tasks" (18%) is more popular than "Having a conversation" (5%), which may indicate that teenagers view AI as a practical tool for academic purposes rather than for social interaction.
Notably, one of the problems that can arise with using AI tools is that they may provide inaccurate or biased information, which can mislead users. A good solution to this problem is to double-check the information obtained from AI sources using reliable websites and reference books.
In conclusion, I believe that Internet technologies play an important role in the lives of teenagers because they offer convenience and efficiency. However, young people should use AI responsibly and develop critical thinking skills.
