The project I am currently working on aims to find out how Zetlanders help raise awareness about the environment. I have found a table showing the results of a survey on this topic. In this essay, I will analyse the data and provide my opinion on the subject of the project.

According to the table, the most popular response to the question “How do you help raise awareness about the environment?” is “Participate in local clean-up events” (37%), followed by “Reduce my own waste” (20%). The least frequently chosen option is “Share information online”, at 13%.

Comparing the data, it is clear that the percentage of respondents who choose “Participate in local clean-up events” is considerably higher than the percentage of those who opt for “Support environmental organisations” (16%). This may be because taking part in a local event gives people an immediate and visible way to help, whereas supporting an organisation can seem less personal.

Notably, one problem related to neglecting environmental issues is that people may continue harmful habits because they do not understand their consequences. A good solution is to organise regular environmental campaigns at schools and community centres that explain practical ways to reduce pollution and waste.

In conclusion, I believe that protecting our planet’s ecology is extremely important because a healthy environment supports human well-being and preserves natural resources for future generations.
