The project I am currently working on is about jobs for young professionals in Zetland. I have found a pie chart showing the results of a survey conducted among young Zetlanders on this topic. In this essay, I will analyse the data and provide my opinion on the subject of the project.

According to the pie chart, the most popular response to the question “What is the main reason why it is difficult for you as a young professional to find a job?” is “Little professional experience” (30%), followed by “Low foreign language proficiency” (28%). The least frequently chosen option is “High competition”, at 8%.

Comparing the data, it is clear that the percentage of respondents who choose “Lack of qualifications” (24%) is considerably higher than the percentage of those who opt for “Salary expectations are too high” (10%). This may be because employers usually regard professional skills as essential, whereas salary expectations can often be discussed during an interview.

Notably, one problem young professionals can face during a job search is that many employers require previous work experience. A practical solution is to complete internships or short-term trainee programmes while studying, which allows young people to gain experience and build a stronger CV.

In conclusion, I believe that finding a job is not easy for a young professional because employers expect both qualifications and practical experience. However, good preparation and relevant training can greatly improve a candidate’s chances.
