The project I am currently working on is about living conditions in the large cities of Zetland. I have found a table showing the results of a survey conducted among Zetland school students on this topic. In this essay, I will analyse the data and provide my opinion on the subject of the project.

According to the table, the most popular response to the question “What do you think should be done to improve living conditions in large cities?” is “Make the air cleaner” (34%), followed by “Reduce noise levels” (25%). The least frequently chosen option is “Reduce the number of cars”, at 8%.

Comparing the data, it is clear that the percentage of respondents who choose “Plant more trees” (22%) is twice as high as the percentage of those who opt for “Build more bicycle lanes” (11%). This may be because trees improve the appearance of a city and provide shade as well as helping to clean the air, so their benefits are easy to notice.

Notably, one problem related to living in a large city is heavy traffic, which causes air pollution, noise and long journeys. A good solution is to improve public transport and create safe bicycle routes so that fewer residents need to use private cars.

In conclusion, I believe that urban living conditions can be improved by reducing pollution and traffic while creating more green spaces. These measures would make cities healthier, quieter and more comfortable for residents.
