Rivers and streams

The UK rivers and streams are very important natural features. Not only do they help to make the British landscape attractive and lively, but they have always been crucial for the growth of towns and cities. They have been providing fresh water for drinking and farming, A __________.

Some of the most beautiful rivers in England are called “chalk streams.” Their pure, clear, constant water from underground chalk springs, flowing across gravel beds, makes them perfect sources of clean water.
