Text A
And finally, I would like to tell you about your exam on Monday. It's going to be a computer-based exam. You'll be using the computers in our computer room, so do not bring your own ones, you have to leave them on a reception desk anyway. You can keep your mobile phones on you, but remember that you mustn't use them for any purpose, if you do, your test will not be graded. Nor textbooks, or not textbooks, of course. All you should bring is your student card, a pen, and a bottle of water.
Text B
Hi dad! I've already arrived, but can see neither you nor mom. There are so many people at the arrivals. It's easy to lose each other, so I am waiting for you at the staircase which is in the arrival lounge to the right of the entrance to the terminal. I am wearing a brand-new blue coat, bought from a Parisian shopping center. I'm awfully hungry and suggest going to our favorite cafe, straight from the airport. This one in the city center, where we celebrated my birthday. See you.
Text C
A: Look! There are so many people in the square.
B: It's just a book fair but it's the first time we have ever had an event like this in our town, except for the folk music festival last May.
A: Oh, it was wonderful, remember? People were singing and dancing for two days. Do you know anything about this sphere?
B: I have heard that there is fiction, artbooks, business literature, and books for children. A few writers will be introducing their books. Ron Smith, an athlete, is going to present his book on marathons, he is taking part in.
A: Why not see it? Where can we buy the entrance ticket?
B: No need. It's free.
Text D
Ann: Leo, can I ask you a favor?
Leo: Sure, what's that?
Ann: I have got a pen friend from Germany. We communicate in English, but I want to send her a hand-made birthday card in German.
Leo: Wow, I don't remember the last time I received a paper card. Probably never. What do you want me to do? Print the card?
Ann: No, my German is not just good enough for writing Birthday wishes. Could you help me with it?
Leo: Ok. Let's meet up in the design room after classes, it will take a few minutes to write the wishes.
Ann: Thanks!
Leo: Are you planning to send her just a card or a present too?
Ann: A special souvenir, I bought it long ago.
