Now we are ready to start.

Speaker A: Everybody says I have green fingers. When we lived in the suburbs, my mother's friends envied our garden because it was very beautiful. Working in the garden used to be my favourite free time activity. Sorry to say, we moved to the city center, so we don't have a garden anymore. Pot plants are my only way out to some gardening now. I have to read about pot plants though, as I don't know much about them. Still, it's better than nothing.

Speaker B: If you ask me, I just don't understand people who have pot plants. To start with, they need a lot of attention and I don't think many people have enough time to look after them. Secondly, your pets may get poisoned if they eat your pot plants. Thirdly, if you go on holiday for more than a week, you need to ask somebody to water your pot plants for you and probably even pay to this person. Why should anyone want all these problems?

Speaker C: I have a lot of pot plants at home and I think they are a perfect way to make your flat or your house look nice. First of all, pot plants bloom and it is a spectacular sight. All of my friends admire my blooming pot plants. Secondly, if you buy nice coloured pots to suit the interior of your rooms, it will be a great decoration and a fresh accent to your interior design. Last but not least, pot plants smell good. That is why pot plants are worth all the efforts.

Speaker D: I'm not against pot plants, but I must say they cannot be very safe to have. My cat once ate some flowers from the pot plant. It probably thought they looked beautiful. It got sick and we had to take it to the vet. Then our biology teacher told us that not all pot plants can actually be kept at home. Some of them are poisonous for pets and even people. Some of them can also give permanent headaches and even increase blood pressure.

Speaker E: In my opinion, there should be at least one pot plant in every room. I'm sure the pot plants make the air in the room fresher and cleaner and can even kill viruses. My mother is a doctor and she says that pot plants can help people fall asleep better and fight depression. Maybe I sound superstitious, but I also do believe that some pot plants can bring luck as well. Anyway, if nothing else, pot plants are beautiful and very pleasant to look at.

Speaker F: I like to look at pot plants. I have several cacti near my computer. You know, cacti can surprise you. One of the wonderful things about them is that they will tolerate your terrible behaviour for years and then they will surprise you with flowers when they get growing again. It is a myth that cacti only flower once in a blue moon. They will produce flowers by their third year if cared for correctly. So, pot plants can be very educational and meditative.
