Hello everybody. It's Teenagers Round the World channel. Our guest today is a teenager from Russia and we're going to discuss computer knowledge and skills. We'd like to know our guest's point of view on this issue. Please, answer five questions. So let's get started.

I use electronic devices every single day, probably for several hours in total. My favourites are my smartphone, because I use it for studying and staying in touch with friends, and my laptop, which I need for writing essays, preparing for my exams, and watching educational videos.

Question 2: Do you think knowledge of computer technology is necessary for everyone? Why do you think so?

Yes, I firmly believe that basic computer knowledge is necessary for everyone in the modern world. Almost every job today requires at least some digital skills, and even everyday tasks like paying bills, shopping, or communicating with relatives are done online.

Question 3: What computer skills are the most important nowadays?

I think the most important skills are using word processors and spreadsheets, as well as knowing how to search for reliable information on the internet. Additionally, understanding basic cybersecurity, such as creating strong passwords and recognising online scams, is becoming increasingly essential.

Question 4: What are the possible dangers of the digital world?

The digital world can be dangerous because of cyberbullying, online fraud, and the risk of personal data being stolen by hackers. Another serious problem is screen addiction, which can negatively affect mental health and reduce the time people spend on real-life communication and physical activities.

Question 5: What ideas would you suggest to improve computer skills of the people in your region?

I would suggest organising free computer courses in local libraries, community centres, and schools for both teenagers and elderly people. Also, schools should include more practical lessons on digital security and office software, rather than just theoretical knowledge, so that students can apply their skills in real life.
