Task 1. You are going to read the text aloud. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, and then be ready to read it aloud. Remember that you will not have more than 2 minutes for reading aloud.
Artificial intelligence is one of the most rapidly developing areas of modern technology. It allows computers to analyse information, recognise patterns and solve complex problems. The first ideas about intelligent machines appeared in the middle of the twentieth century, but modern systems have become much more powerful. Some artificial intelligence programs can process millions of pieces of information in seconds. Scientists use AI in medicine, transport and education to make different processes faster and more accurate. However, researchers also study the possible risks of this technology. They believe that responsible development of artificial intelligence can bring many benefits to society.
