Imagine that you are preparing a project with your friend. You have found some interesting material for the presentation and you want to read this text to your friend. Acid rain is a serious environmental problem these days. Basically, we have acid rain when water in the atmosphere mixes with dangerous gases and then falls onto the ground. It can fall as rain, snow, dust or even fog. When it comes into contact with animals, plants and even buildings or cars, it does a lot of harm to them. It also damages the soil. If it gets into a river or a lake, water creatures there suffer, too.
It is obvious that acid rain is caused by air pollution. Factories and plants send smoke into the air. People burn fossil fuels to produce energy. They also drive their cars or use public transport instead of using their bikes or walking. Sometimes acid rain happens because of volcanic activity or other natural causes, but in most cases, it is man-made. We should consider our environmental footprint seriously and start doing everything we can to stop acid rain.

A polar bear walks along a rocky shore, looking for food. The bear would usually be on the sea ice hunting for seals, pouncing when the seal comes up to breathe. But the ice has started to melt earlier and re-form later than it was in the past. Without the sea ice, the polar bear must scavenge for other, less nutritious food. These changes in polar sea ice are a result of climate change. But this isn't just affecting polar bears — climate change affects everyone.
Changes in Earth's climate are caused by how much of the Sun's energy is absorbed by the atmosphere. In fact, over the past 650,000 years, our planet has gone through seven ice ages and warming periods. But during the past few hundred years, oil, gas, and coal have powered homes, cars, and factories. That increases Earth's temperature, which contributes to the planet's warming.

The Altai Mountains are located in Russia on the border with Mongolia, Kazakhstan and China. They are considered one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in Russia. The panoramic views from the mountain tops are impossible to forget. The colour palette of the landscape changes greatly with each season so you will never get tired of it.
What makes the Altai Mountains even more attractive is that they are not easy to get to. In the past, Old Believers sought safety in this hard-to-reach area and built small villages that were hidden from officials and outsiders.
Today visitors still feel like they are the first to see this wild landscape that has stayed untouched so far. To support this impression and make trips to the mountains unforgettable, several eco-lodges will be built in the near future to accommodate nature lovers.

Something that may be available for everyone is artificial intelligence. Already more advanced than most of the innovations mentioned here, the development of artificial intelligence will only get better through the years. Experts in the field believe that AI will surpass the processing power of living brains. That wouldn't be scary if it didn't open the door to the Robo-pocalypse. Luckily, scientists still have to figure out how to impart all the important human values into an AI before it can become a part of our everyday life. But the rise of AI will, of course, change the face of the workforce. Not only that, but the job market will also face radical change, and with the way things are going, about half of the world's current jobs will be extinct, taken over by AI machines and robots. In 2050, the world will be more interconnected and even more driven by data than it is now. Some of us will definitely need to consider a career change.
