You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 1.5 minutes to read it.
Noise pollution is a big environmental and public health issue these days. It arises from many various sources, both natural and human-made. Transportation is one of the leading causes of noise pollution, especially in urban and highly-populated areas. Transport noise can disrupt daily life and influence long-term health issues. If you live in a city, you are almost always surrounded by sounds of road traffic. It can be cars, motorcycles or buses moving.
Metro trains produce a lot of noise, too. Engines operate, tracks vibrate, and metal wheels clatter on rails. Railway crossings and stations make these sounds even worse. If you live near a railway line or a highway, you may find it hard to stand the noise that is always around. The same refers to living close to airports. Aircraft takeoffs, landings, and flyovers produce loud noises that can be very unpleasant.
