Speaker A. I'm not surprised that Lego is popular not only with children, but also with young adults like me. You see, I'm hopeless at crafts. I'm useless at woodwork, and I make a mess of everything. Every project I tried to make in art class at school looked like a disaster. But with Lego, I can build spaceships, cars, and trains. There is no technical skill required at all to create something with Lego blocks. You just follow the instructions and enjoy the process.
Speaker B. I've been fond of Lego ever since my childhood. When I was a kid, I followed the instructions to build houses and castles, vans and dragons. Now I understand that Lego lets me move beyond just following the instructions and create whatever I like. If you have several sets, you can build pretty much anything, with no limitations to your imagination. I have a seven-year-old niece, and when I babysit with her, I teach her to design and create with Lego.
Speaker C. I started playing Lego only when I was sixteen years old. I think there can be different reasons why young adults like me enjoy playing Lego, but the main one for me is that it feels cool to assemble things and then see what I've managed to do. When we are making our Lego creations, we are like the god of the Lego world. We can use simple basic elements to build complex creations. In my opinion, many people are into this feeling of control.
Speaker D. Although I have never played Lego, I've always been attracted by the Lego stores every time I've seen them. I'm thinking of buying a Lego set for myself as a gift, and some of my fellow students have already done it. There are simple sets for kids, based on popular fairy tales, but there are also sets which only adults can assemble. You see, Lego has such a huge variety of themes, like Star Wars or Harry Potter, that even an adult will find a set to their liking.
Speaker E. In my opinion, Lego blocks are the most eco-friendly toys ever. They are so durable, I believe they can last forever. With other toys, well, kids easily break them, and then parents just throw them away, creating so much waste. But with Lego blocks, I've never heard that someone was going to throw them away. Lego kits are reusable, and even modern robotics classes at school use Lego blocks. You build a robot, play with it, and then just reassemble it.
Speaker F. I don't play with Lego any more, but I do respect those of my friends who still do it. A lot of Lego sets are really impressive. I remember a Lego locomotive train equipped with a snowplow that could clear a path through actual snow in a very realistic fashion. These models are really complicated and I can just imagine how much time and effort goes into planning and building them. They're certainly not just toys for kids. There's much more to them
