Hello everybody. It's the Teenagers Round the World Channel. Our guest today is a teenager from Russia and we are going to discuss learning foreign languages. We'd like to know our guest's point of view on this issue. Please answer five questions. So let's get started.
What part of Russia do you live in? What languages are spoken most in the town, city, or village where you live?
How many languages do you speak, and what are they?
When and how did you start learning your first foreign language?
What do you do outside your school program to improve your knowledge of foreign languages?
What other languages would you like to learn in the future, if any?

Question 1: What part of Russia do you live in? What languages are spoken most in the town, city, or village where you live?
I live in Moscow, which is located in the central part of Russia. The most widely spoken language in my city is Russian, but you can also hear English quite often, especially in tourist areas and shopping malls, as well as various other languages spoken by migrants and international students.
Question 2: How many languages do you speak, and what are they?
I speak two languages fluently: Russian, which is my native language, and English, which I have been learning for several years. I also know a few basic phrases in German, but I wouldn't say I speak it confidently.
Question 3: When and how did you start learning your first foreign language?
I started learning my first foreign language, English, at the age of 7, when I entered primary school. At first, we learned simple words and phrases through songs, games, and pictures, which made the process fun and engaging.
Question 4: What do you do outside your school program to improve your knowledge of foreign languages?
Outside of school, I watch English-language films and TV series with subtitles, listen to podcasts, and read news websites in English to expand my vocabulary. I also use language-learning apps like Duolingo for daily practice and sometimes chat with native speakers online to improve my speaking skills.
Question 5: What other languages would you like to learn in the future, if any?
In the future, I would really like to learn German because it is widely spoken in Europe and could be useful for my future career or studies abroad. I would also be interested in learning Spanish, as it is one of the most spoken languages in the world and has a beautiful, melodic sound.
