We can now stay up longer and devote more time to work, studies or entertainment because we don’t depend on the daylight anymore. Still, lighting your home needs energy, and you should never forget about energy-saving measures in your household. If you want to run an eco-friendly household, an important thing is to invest in the right light bulbs. Energy-saving light bulbs are more efficient than the old ones. They have actually been in our shops for a long time, but it has taken people much time to come round to the idea. Energy-saving light bulbs are slightly more expensive than ordinary ones but they are certainly not a waste of money. Such light bulbs use much less electricity thus cutting your electricity bill down. They also last longer, which means you don’t have to spend money replacing them. One energy-saving light bulb can substitute six ordinary ones.

We’d like to know our guest’s point of view on this issue. Please answer five questions. So, let’s get started. What is your favourite food? Why do you like it so much? Can you cook it? Have your food preferences changed over time? Why or why not? Do you think your favourite food is healthy? Is there any unhealthy food that you like? How often do you eat your favourite food? I don't think pelmeni are very healthy because they contain a lot of dough and meat, and they are usually served with sour cream, which is quite fatty. However, I do enjoy some unhealthy foods like pizza and French fries, but I try not to eat them too often. Question 4: How often do you eat your favourite food? Would you like to eat it more often? I usually eat pelmeni about once or twice a month, especially when my family wants a quick and tasty meal. I would definitely like to eat them more often, but I know they are not the healthiest option, so I try to limit myself. Question 5: Is there any food you dislike? If yes, why do you dislike it? Yes, I really dislike olives and pickled vegetables because I find their taste too salty and bitter for my palate. I also try to avoid very spicy food because it upsets my stomach.

Task 4. Imagine that you and your friend are doing a school project “Shopping”. You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to: explain the choice of the illustrations for the project by briefly describing them and noting the differences; mention the advantages (1–2) of the two types of shopping; mention the disadvantages (1–2) of the two types of shopping; express your opinion on the subject of the project – which way of shopping you prefer and why. You will speak for not more than 3 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.

One photo shows a family of three in a supermarket with a shopping trolley. They are walking along the aisles, choosing products together and looking at the shelves. In the other photo, there is a girl sitting with a laptop and a credit card, buying something online. She looks focused and relaxed, probably comparing prices or selecting items on a website. These two ways of shopping are quite different. Shopping in a supermarket is a traditional and physical way of shopping, whereas online shopping is modern and digital. Also, supermarket shopping allows you to see and touch products before buying them, while online shopping lets you order anything from home without leaving your room. I think both ways of shopping shown in the pictures have their advantages and disadvantages. As for online shopping, it is very convenient because you can shop at any time, compare prices quickly, and have items delivered to your door. On the other hand, supermarket shopping can be tiring and time-consuming, and you may have to carry heavy bags. As for online shopping, you cannot touch or try on items before buying, and sometimes the delivery takes a long time or costs extra. As for me, I would prefer online shopping because it saves a lot of time and offers a wider range of products.
