Entertaining guests
The most usual way to entertain friends at home is to invite them for a meal, either in the evening or at lunch-time on a Sunday. When guests are invited for a meal, they often sit and chat while they have a drink before the meal, and coffee is (25)_________ (USUAL) served afterwards.

In the summers, when we went to the country, we usually hired a temporary cook to go with us, so that Margaret could stay in town.
